STEP ONE: SEMINARS

State-of-the-art information and knowledge

Knowledge transfer is facilitated through seminars in all important fields of medicine. Seminars are organized by the American Austrian Foundation in cooperation with its academic partners, Weill Cornell Medical College, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Duke University Medical Centre, The College of Physicians and Surgeons (Columbia), Cleveland Clinic and leading Austrian and European experts.

During week-long seminars, physicians update their knowledge and gain insight into new medical techniques and treatment protocols.

Highly qualified, English speaking physicians from Central, Eastern and Western Europe, Central Asia, Russia and countries in transition are invited to Salzburg for an update in their medical specialty. Each seminar is limited to 45 participants, allowing for intensive interaction and knowledge transfer through didactic lectures, discussions, case presentations, hands-on training, videoconferences and computer workshops.
