The Vienna-OMI proudly announces: The Medical University has joined as a project partner
Since 21.11.2011, the Medical University is officially project partner of the Vienna Open Medical Institute (Vienna-OMI), a joint project of the Vienna Hospital Association (VHA), the American Austrian Foundation (AAF), the Association of Physicians in Vienna, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Vienna School of Clinical Research.
Six VHA hospitals - the General Hospital, the hospital Hietzing, the hospital Rudolfstiftung, Donauspital, the Wilhelminenspital and the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Spital - open ten months per year their doors for nearly 100 physicians and provide a platform for medical exchange.
The Medical University gives insight into the clinical area of the university, including Bernhard Gottlieb University Dental Clinic and thus supports the goal of the project, on the one hand to position Vienna as a leading center for postgraduate training and professional experience in medicine and on the other hand to establish Vienna as humanitarian and scientific hub .
The new findings build a lasting contribution to medical know-how transfer at the highest level, in promoting international and intercultural exchange.
